Welcome To Abingdon Royal British Legion Club

We are a friendly club just a short walk from the town centre, opening our
doors to members, families and guests. You don’t need to have
served to join us supporting a great cause and our community

Abingdon Royal British Legion social club has been in its Spring Road home for more than three decades – and in the town for nearly half a century.

Over the years, we have welcomed serving and ex-service personnel for drinks. But we’re not just for ex-military people, anyone can join and we’re proud to be part of our community.

We host crib, Aunt Sally and pool teams and are home to one of the longest-running book clubs in Oxfordshire.

Our large function room is available for private hire at excellent rates and is regularly used for live music open to all. You can use our championship snooker table and our pool table is free to members on Saturdays and Sundays.

Our bar is called the Bunny Belcher bar, named after the Abingdon airman who was one of the first casualties of D-Day. We offer a range of beers and local real ales as well as wines, spirits, tea and coffee.

Fed-up with searching for that elusive local car parking space? Members can reserve one of ours for £162 for six months.

The Poppy Appeal is important to us and the social club has been running it in the town for more than a decade, raising some £43,000 last year. You don’t need a military connection to be a member and you can visit us three times before deciding whether to join us. What are you waiting for? Give us a try today.
